The 177 acre pine plantation which is Governors Grove rests on the west fork of the Eno River. Dating back to the early 1800's, the land was settled by the famous North Carolina Family of Samuel Scott, great grandfather of Governor Kerr Scott and great great grandfather of Governor Bob Scott.
